about me

I’m Elizabeth Paul, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Brooklyn, New York. My work is grounded in trauma-informed psychotherapy with individuals, couples, and families, with particular attention to how stress and trauma shape behavior, relationships, and nervous systems over time.

I’m especially interested in work that resists quick fixes and instead makes room for complexity, ambivalence, and change that unfolds over time. I completed EMDR basic training with Deany Laliotis and began offering EMDR in January 2026.

I earned my Master of Social Work from NYU Silver School of Social Work and am licensed in both New York and Maine. For five years, I worked in preventive child welfare, delivering evidence-based, family-centered treatment models, including FFT-CW, MST-CAN, and Trauma Systems Therapy (TST), with a focus on intervening early and working systemically with caregivers and children under chronic stress and trauma.

when you’re ready.

I’d love to learn what’s happening in your world. Share whatever feels important right now — what’s been happening at home, in your relationships, or anywhere you could use support. I’ll reach out soon so we can explore the next steps that feel right, together.
